Yes, It’s Possible! We often get calls from patients asking about full mouth reconstruction—a complete overhaul for damaged, worn, or neglected teeth. Some patients suffer from cavities, years of grinding, poor oral hygiene, or a combination of these factors. But there are also patients who, despite having no cavities, have simply worn their teeth down from constant grinding and clenching.
In the past, the traditional solution involved preparing the teeth by drilling them down even further to make space for crowns. The logic was that you needed to reduce the tooth structure for a crown to fit securely. But dentistry has come a long way since then—and so have we.
Thanks to our advanced CEREC Scanner, we can now restore worn teeth without drilling them at all. In this featured case, the patient had severely worn teeth but zero cavities. Using a 3D scan of his mouth, Dr. Jacobs was able to digitally design a full-mouth reconstruction without touching the teeth—no prep, no grinding.
Once the design is approved, we mill custom restorations, such as veneers, that bond directly to the natural, unaltered teeth. The key to this process is bonding technology: a specialized chemical bond is applied to the back of the veneer, allowing it to adhere securely to the existing tooth surface—without removing any healthy tooth structure
Dr. Jacobs is passionate about helping patients reclaim their smiles without the fear of drills or unnecessary tooth reduction. If you’ve been told you need crowns or extensive prep work, come see what’s possible with our modern, no-grind approach. Schedule your consultation today and discover how you can get your smile back—no drilling required!
